Who ZFCT SME Consulting may suit
Businesses combining digital or operational consulting with an SFGS review. SME consulting, technology work and SFGS information.
The useful service is the work performed before an application reaches a lender: choosing a plausible route, finding missing evidence and presenting the business consistently. An adviser cannot replace the lender's underwriting or guarantee approval.
Claims on the provider's own website
These figures and statements are self-published by ZFCT SME Consulting. We record them for transparency and do not treat them as audited market data.
- SFGS consulting information
- Digital-business consulting
- Hong Kong office and telephone details
What is useful
- A local office and company contact details are published
- The wider consulting scope may suit a technology project
- The site describes eligibility at a basic level
Gaps to resolve
- The page still describes the 90% SFGS product after new applications closed
- The exact finance service is not defined in much detail
- No public lender panel or fee table was found during review
Fees and incentives
The public SME page does not set out finance-consulting charges. Ask whether the work is advice, application preparation or a referral.
Request one engagement letter showing the legal service provider, work included, fixed and success fees, tax, payment trigger, cancellation terms and treatment of repeat applications. If the borrower pays nothing, ask which providers pay the consultant and whether that compensation differs by lender.
How the stated process works
- Consulting enquiry
- Project and funding needs discussed
- Scope and application route should be agreed in writing
Confirm the handoff point between advice and a formal lender application. The borrower should know the named recipient, required documents and credit-search position before consenting to disclosure.
Hong Kong legal and safety checks
For a bank application, contact the authorised institution through an official channel and confirm that it accepts the proposed route. HKMA material says banks ceased accepting loan applications referred by intermediaries.
For a licensed money-lender loan, search the contracting entity's licence and check any intermediary in the Companies Registry appointed-third-party register. Public guidance warns borrowers not to pay an intermediary for arranging such a loan.
- Do not send money to a personal account.
- Do not share online-banking passwords or one-time codes.
- Do not sign blank forms or install remote-access software.
- Keep a record of every recipient and consent.
Editorial verdict
This is closer to a general consultancy page than a developed loan-matching service. We would not send a finance file until the firm identifies the contracting service, recipient lender and fee basis in one document.
The score measures public role disclosure, service clarity, fee transparency, verifiable identity and practical usefulness. It is not a customer-review average and does not predict a successful application.
